Are you up for a listening challenge?
I’ve had a bingo template sitting in my Canva templates folder for a few months, and hadn’t decided what to do with it until I saw an Instagram post from a flute teacher friend who used a bingo game as a listening activity with his students.
It’s Women’s History Month, so what better time to explore some lesser-known works by women composers? You never know – you just might find your new favorite piece!

Flute Music by Women Composers
This playlist highlights some of my favorite pieces from my repertoire list of flute solos by women composers, Virtuosa Flute Solos. It also includes some chamber music by women composers featuring the flute – from trio sonatas to wind quintets and pieces for flute choir. And like my repertoire list, these compositions span several centuries, from the Baroque era to the present.

The pieces are flute solos and chamber music featuring the flute, and the title reads: "Women Composers Bingo 2022: Flute Music by Women Compsers."](https://www.pualaniflute.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Women-composers-bingo-2022-1024x1024.png)
Let’s Play!
This is a great activity for a flute studio or music history class, whether as a part of a group activity or as an individual listening assignment for students.
To join in, click on the button above to download a PDF of the bingo board. You can listen to the playlist below or directly from my YouTube channel. It can also be accessed by scanning the QR code in the “free” space of the board. Put the playlist on shuffle, and let me know if you get 5 in a row!
I’ll also be posting clips of audio recordings and video links in my Instagram stories throughout the month.
